Everyday/Travel Makeup - Get Ready with Me in Montreal and Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick Review || The Shipra Diaries

Hello my loves!

A few weeks ago, a few of my closest friends and myself set out on an adventure to Montreal. It was honestly one of the best trips I've taken. I will be writing more about the trip in another post; so, keep an eye out for that. For now, let's get right into what this post is about.

While in Montreal, I filmed myself getting ready. It's always a challenge adjusting to a new environment and figuring out the right look to wear in a new town. Montreal isn't too different in climate from New Jersey, but it was still very new for me. I decided to go for this simple/everyday makeup look. This was the perfect look to wear while sight seeing. It lasted all day, which is all thanks to the Urban Decay all nighter setting spray. Since this makeup look was so versatile and simple, it could work with any lip color. So, it was the perfect opportunity for me to try out the three Amuse Bouche lipsticks I was sent from Influenster. DISCLAIMER - Although, I was sent these products for free for the purpose of a review, all opinions are my own.

The Amuse Bouche lipsticks are by far my new favorite lip products I have recently tried. The colors I received were Pepper, Gazpacho, and Beetroot. Gazpacho was definitely my favorite. If you know me, you know how much I love my red lipsticks. Gazpacho has definitely been added to the red lips collection I have, giving MAC Ruby Woo a run for its money. All three lipsticks were so hydrating and long lasting. The color pay off was so amazing. They all smelled incredible. I can't really pin point the exact scent, but it's a floral/citrus combo. Moving on, here are the pros and cons of these lipsticks.

PROS -

  • Highly pigmented
  • Moisturizing
  • Amazing Scent
  • Long lasting
  • Sleek packaging
  • Doesn't dry out

CONS -
  • Need a lipliner for the darker shades - Gazpacho and Beetroot
  • Expensive ($26 at Sephora)
