New Hope OOTD and Small Town Adventures || TSD Fashion Lookbook Chapter XI

Hello my loves!

A weekend or so ago, I felt like I was going through one of those ruts. It may have been boredom and the continued monotony of the work week, but it was really beginning to affect me. No matter how much I wanted, I couldn't hop on a plane and jet set to a tropical island like I was day dreaming about doing. (Those darn responsibilities, I tell ya.) Anyways, since I couldn't travel anywhere lavish, I grabbed my best friend and headed off to New Hope, PA.

New Hope is a small town in Bucks County, PA, about 15 minutes away from me. It's such a storybook looking town that's a mix of hipster vibes and traditional roots. Even though it's so close to me, I had only been there once before during a 9th grade field trip to see a musical. I remember walking around, but I don't remember grasping the beauty and essence of it. This time around, with my new Canon EOS 80D, I really appreciated everything about the town. Walking around and looking at all the little boutique shops and restaurants was so relaxing. I felt like I was transported to Rosewood from Pretty Little Liars, sans all the scandal.

This little adventure made me realize that you really don't need to go an elaborate trip to fulfill the wanderlust in you. This short trip truly rejuvenated me, without sounding so cliche. You really don't have to travel a far distance to get lost in adventure. Whenever I go on any sort of travel journey to a new place, I not only am thankful that I have the opportunity to experience all the beauty the world has to offer, but I also appreciate my home and my life a lot more. If I feel like I'm losing it or getting stuck in the same routine, traveling really allows me to clear my mind and refocus on the important things in life. Call me crazy, but I think that's what attracts me to adventures and travel. So, just keep driving and stumble into a new adventure. It really helps.

Anyways, here's the outfit I wore. I totally didn't realize how perfect this would have been for the fourth of July weekend, but now that I do, it's going to make a reappearance next July 4th.
